The Role Binsky, a premier large scale Mechanical Contracting and Service provider located in Central NJ is seeking a Purchasing Agent to buy products that are essential for our company's day-to-day operations.
They will review pricing and quality and ensure optimal buying.
Manage the purchasing/receiving process efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and goal-oriented environment.
Accountabilities:
Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and preparing reports (e.
g.
, on orders and costs).
Create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers to ensure merchandise is high quality and delivered on time.
Track orders and ensure timely delivery Enter order details (e.
g.
, vendors, quantities, prices, receipts) into internal databases Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices Prepare reports of purchase, including cost analyses Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage and return of materials Become proficient with company operating systems (Build Ops, Intacct) Skills Good knowledge of market research, along with solid analytical skills to make sure you are identifying the most profitable offers.
Proven work experience as a Purchasing Agent or similar role Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, and liaising with vendors) Proficient in Microsoft Office; word, excel, etc.
Understanding of supply chain procedures Solid analytical skills, with the ability to create reports and conduct cost analyses Negotiation skills Education and Experience BS in Logistics, Business Administration, or relevant field preferred 1-3 years' experience in purchasing or equivalent.
