Regional Sales Manager, Food & Nutritional Ingredients

Our client is a highly respected supplier of ingredients to companies who make nutritional supplements, sports drinks, and nutraceuticals. We are looking to hire an industry professional to manage sales along the East Coast, mostly the New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Connecticut area. Work from a home office and go to the main office in Piscataway NJ on occasion.
We are looking to hire a sales professional who is a hunter and rain maker. Someone who knows how to get into an account through the back door when the front door is closed. Someone with energy, intuition, and a nose for sales. Must have experience calling on dietary supplement and nutritional product manufacturers, 3rd party co-packers, blenders, and private label companies. Must have experience selling value-added functional ingredients (products like vitamins, minerals, botanicals, Amino Acids, Omega 3 fish oil, chromium Picolinate, glucosamine HCl, Chondroitin sulfate, antioxidants, zinc methionine, garcinia cambogia, etc.).
Must have a college degree. Concentration in Chemistry, Biology, or other natural science is desired. The successful applicant will assume some business already on the books, but the main part of the job is to go out and generate business at new accounts.
