Job requirement:
Responsible for providing mission and value based leadership, direction, support and assistance to the organizations external relations department to build and sustain strategic partnerships (internally and externally) and key stakeholders a very hands on role, must be creative type thinker, very engaged in the marketing process from a strategic and tactical stand point.
Manage a team that includes professionals (up to four direct reports) in marketing and communications, and business development. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that proper and punctual communications are addressed
Oversee the Marketing efforts in writing of media, marketing and public relations materials, as well as rapidly producing various documents positioning the organization for numerous audiences and circumstances
Work with marketing team to ensure that all communication tools from newsletters, communication boards, internet and intranet are being used most productively and efficiently
Work to develop monthly reporting mechanisms that capture data related to identified benchmarks, quality improvements progress and operating efficiencies; address deficiencies appropriately with department management
Ensure that materials required by staff committees and board meetings relevant to internal and external communication appropriately represent the organization
Performs other duties as required.
Required
Qualifications:
o Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred
o 6
years experience with a BS or 8
years with an MS including experience in technology/telecommunications industry including successful communications, branding and marketing, relationship management
o Strong management and organizational skills
o Superior relationship management skills with demonstrated ability to work successfully with board members, and business leaders, partners and internal and other external stakeholders
o Excellent creativity and problem-solving skills with ability to work in a fast paced, high energy environment
o Highly organized and extremely details oriented with the ability to multi task and meet deadlines
o Solid background and demonstrated understanding of marketing/communications, development, social marketing, branding and messaging
o Significant leadership and collaboration skills with proven ability to manage effectively in a high growth, high demand environment
o Goal oriented and demonstrated skills in planning, project management and implementation
o Experience in developing and monitoring departmental budges
o Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications, and experience with donor data systems
