Colgate-Palmolive Company invites applications for the position of IT Business Intelligence Manager. This candidate will join the Global Development Group within the Global Information Technology organization. The person will be a member of a team responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting BI application bundles used globally by over 10,000 Colgate employees and various business partners.
Specific responsibilities will include:
Determine data needs of the enterprise as well as the data needs of the project.
Create, document, and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models for medium to high complexity projects.
Reverse engineer existing physical models into a logical representation
Lead definition, communication and governance of the data modeling standards
Data Governance Standards, co-ordinate definition, manage storage and stewardship
Provide analysis support and recommend solutions of the data access requirements
Conduct cross functional model reviews with project team members
Leading a team of 2 or more reports
Participate in data architecture sessions and promote integrated systems and controlled data redundancy.
Managing projects, end-to-end, using Agile software development methodology
Managing relationships and partnering with the global business category leads on overall project management
Migrating and enhancing applications to take full advantage of SAP's HANA technology
Working with SAP development teams during beta testing, customer validation, and ramp-up product phases, ensuring that specific business needs of Colgate are communicated and addressed
Conducting business analysis and functional design activities for capturing, loading, storing, and retrieving data across all business functions of the organization, using SAP BI and Business Objects toolsets
Developing global BI and analytics bundles, helping to implement the same for all Colgate subsidiaries
Transitioning on-going support of analytics bundles to divisional shared service organizations
Providing basic support and development on SAP BI and Business Objects data modeling i.e. data extraction, data manipulation
Qualifications
This position requires the following
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or Engineering
Minimum 8 years of experience in an IT organization developing, configuring, and implementing database management solutions (or equivalent), particularly SAP BW, SAP HANA and Business Objects
Must work effectively in a team environment and be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet accelerated timelines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must
Ability to solicit specific requirements from business users is a must
Ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms
Must possess adequate leadership skills to lead and facilitate data design and enhancements efforts
Knowledge of the packaged consumer products industry and related business disciplines is desirable
Experience with Visualization tools such as Qlik or Tableau
Experience with SAP's HANA or another in-memory database technology for BI analytics
